  • Do I need a qualification to study?

    You don’t need formal qualifications for Antenatal Teacher Training. We need to see your passion and that our values align. That you want to support ALL families with zero judgement or discrimination. Cultural safety and inclusivity are priorities for us. We can have a face to face discovery call to make sure that we are the right training academy for you. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Your own unique experiences will be your success! Speak to us if you have additional learning needs.

  • How much time will I need to study?

    The weekly study will vary in length but the maximum online learning in one session will be 4 hours. You will need to find a few hours per month to do some independent learning and your assessments. The live lessons take place over 3 months, with time for you to complete this study inbetween, but you have 3 months after the course ends to submit your final assessment and complete the diploma. We will be as flexible as we can if you need it.

  • What qualification will I receive?

    Once you have passed your final assessment you will receive a Diploma in Antenatal and Early Postnatal Education, accredited by FEDANT. This enables you to be registered on the national directory of Antenatal Educators, once you register yourself and purchase the necessary insurance needed to teach. Parents can find you online and know you are accredited and have been trained to a high standard.

  • Who are FEDANT?

    The Federation of Antenatal Educators regulates Antenatal Educators, Breastfeeding Counsellors and Doulas in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Island and the islands. It was established in accordance with government requirements and currently has representation on 22 Parliamentary Groups and Committees.

  • What support do I receive after graduating?

    We are really passionate about making sure you are supported in your work long after you have graduated. You will automatically become part of The Perinatal Collective, an online support group moderated by our training team. This is a space to ask questions, share successes and ask for advice. We'll be hosting monthly groups with experts, deliver updates in UK maternity policies and new evidence based research in the birth world.

    We will be there if you have any issues. You also receive 4 business coaching calls, to support you in your new venture.

  • What if I am already qualified or own a birth business?

    Talk to us about our Birth Boost course, or how you can become part of The Perinatal Collective. We will work directly with you on what it is you need, to create the right training package to support your future goals, and fill you with the confidence you deserve to teach and run your business.
